A friend called and said he was in need of a painting.
He explained he wanted a monument built in Ohio captured
and set with an Iraq sunset. The monument was built in memory of
23 fallen Marines of Lima Company.
Over a few conversations and brainstorms, it was agreed to be set
as a 3-D painting with a friend as a subject in the foreground.
Working from reference pictures a rough layout was put together
and discussed.

With all the questions out of the way, the paint started to fly.
4 weeks later it was ready for pick up, complete with 2x4 Oak frame.
